Catching Up With Wooleycreek

I guess life got in the way of keeping up with this blog. I thought I would do a little catching up before I  began again.

My husband was very ill for most of 2009 and 2010. It was all I could do to take care of him and try to keep up with my online shops. He is doing lots better now so I have more time to devote to  some of my interest.

My cabin is coming along nicely. We managed to raise enough money to get a lot of the interior done. We are in the process of putting up sheet rock and adding kitchen cabinets. My son built a magnificent front porch for me with cedar post along the front to support the roof.  As you can see, I still have a lot to do. Siding is on our list of things to raise money for.

The sales from my online shops go toward building my dream cabin. You can read about my dream in one of my earlier post.

Right now we are wintering it out with 20 inches of snow on the ground here in Oklahoma. I've kept busy by doing bead work and making little baby moccasins. By spring I hope to have saved enough money to go back to the mountains to work on the cabin.

Here is a sample of what I have been working on!

You can see these and much more in my shop Here

Please check back because I plan on featuring some of the wonderful work of some of the artisans that I have spotted  around the web!

  1. The baby moccasins are so precious! Your bead work is very beautiful. I own beads and all the trimmings, just lack the time and motivation to learn. (I think the motivation part may be especially important :p )
